As an engineer within our Research and Development (R&D) hardware design group, you'll work in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering teams to create and implement advanced measurement and calibration procedures for our clients. You'll also conduct analyses to establish specifications for all forthcoming products in the developmental phase. Your engineering responsibilities extend to overseeing product design through its transition into production and its ongoing lifecycle. • Create analog and power circuits, which involve crafting schematic blueprints and printed circuit board layouts, adhering to specific requirements and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with a team to conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of analog and power circuits.
• Formulate and implement calibration algorithms to ensure precise performance.
• Assess and appraise the effectiveness of analog and power circuit designs at various stages, from the initial prototypes to the final product release.
• Oversee hardware instruments and manage the measurement, characterization, and calibration procedures during both development and production phases.
• Design and adapt testing stations, analyze test data, and offer recommendations for product specifications improvement.
• Generate thorough technical documentation detailing analog and power circuit designs.
• Evaluate, scrutinize, and contribute to setting production line standards by leveraging statistical data analysis.
• Lead the transition of products and manufacturing processes into full-scale production, offering support throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master/PhD Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic engineering.
• Accumulated at least 5 years of professional experience in research and development or a comparable product development setting, focusing on electronic and FPGA firmware engineering.
• Exceptional skills in digital circuit design and the creation of FPGA firmware.
• Proven track record in comprehending and interpreting electrical schematics, technical blueprints, data sheets, and written operational instructions.
• Profound expertise and practical experience in diagnosing and resolving issues in circuit and FPGA firmware design.
• Strong organizational capabilities, with an ability to excel in a dynamic, outcome-oriented environment.
• Practical involvement in hands-on debugging and validation of circuits within a laboratory environment.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently while adhering to overarching objectives.
• Demonstrated aptitude for analytical problem-solving and outstanding communication skills.
• Proficiency in coding, synthesizing, and simulating Verilog and VHDL RTL implementations using Xilinx FPGA technology.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with common communication protocols, such as I2C, SPI, JTAG, and UART.
• Knowledge of analog and digital measurement methods.
• Previous exposure to electronic testing and measurement tools for the validation of analog and power circuits.
• Experience in working with Intel FPGA (Cyclone V SoC) and Xilinx FPGA (Spartan 7) design would be a valuable asset.
• Proficiency in FPGA firmware CAD design tools like Vivado and Quartus.
• A grasp of the interactions between hardware, firmware, and software/hardware systems is highly advantageous.
