Job Description

Acquire a thorough understanding of the current CIM implementation and the ability to proactively communicate and apply these capabilities to streamline and enhance manufacturing processes for operational personnel.
Evaluate, analyze, simplify, and design CIM implementations for front-end and back-end facilities in Penang that align with the CIM Framework.
Create design specifications and/or functional specifications for both new and existing CIM modules and solutions, collaborating with programmers to bring the desired system capabilities to life.
Develop test cases and test scenarios, and perform black-box testing for applications developed by programmers.
Conduct equipment characterization and testing to ensure compliance with GEM standards by equipment vendors, working closely with them to achieve the expected GEM Compliance level for client equipment.
Offer second-level support and resolution for CIM (EI & MES) related issues.
Engage in Client's Excellence activities, such as Productivity Improvement, Lean, KAIZEN, PET, and similar initiatives, and provide solutions for optimizing manufacturing processes.
Lead, train, and guide CIM shift technicians in best practices and optimize the support structure.
Organize and conduct periodic user training for engineering, operational, and production personnel.

The Successful Applicant

This position is only open for residents of Malaysia
Possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Demonstrate expertise and knowledge of SEMI Standards, including E-004 (SECS-I), E-005 (SECS-II), E-010 (RAM), E-030 (GEM), and E-037 (HSMS).
Additional knowledge of SEMI Standards E-081 (CIM Framework) and E-142 Substrate Mapping is advantageous but not mandatory.
Familiarity with common CIM components such as SPC, RMS, R2R, and FDC is highly preferred.
Mandatory familiarity with SECS/GEM characterization tools such as FASTsim, openSIM Pro, SEC SIM Pro, or similar tools.
Knowledge of web technologies like VB.NET, C#.NET, web services, SOAP, and XML is beneficial.
Proficiency in database technologies, including MS SQL Server 2005 and above, and familiarity with PL/SQL statements.
Exposure to MES systems like FactoryWorks, Fab 300, Camstar, Workstream, or similar systems is highly desirable.
A candidate with a curious, logical, and intuitive nature, keen attention to detail, creativity, and innovation is well-suited for this position. Self-driven and strong teamwork abilities are essential for success.
Good command of the English language, exceptional interpersonal skills, and effective communication with individuals at all levels are desirable.
A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience is required.
